Afshari carpets come from a Turkish speaking and sedentary nomadic people in southern Persia. Usually living in simple tents, these nomadic people produce carpets, mainly with Turkish knotting, geometrical patterns in very harmonious colors. They resemble those of the Caucasian style and are very durable.
