The Sumac is another type of Kilim with a different weave technique. Thanks to the thicker texture on the back of their fabric the Sumacs become more resistant. Therefore they show a much higher durability than a simple Kilim. Their pattern varies from traditional Kilim motifs to stylized and large S-Dragon or Snake pattern. They are mostly made of wool but also pure silk and have a beautiful and soft color combination. Sumacs are usually used as floor mats, curtains, wall coverings, blankets, travel bags, saddle covers, cradles, cushions, and tablecloths and often as bags.

We recommend the use of an anti-slip pad to reduce trip hazards and to protect the floor surface. Please use a suction only vacuum cleaner as a beater-bar vacuum cleaner could damage the pile. |
