These carpets are produced on the 'rooftop of the world', high in the remote mountain regions of Tibet. The wool used for Tibetans Nepal carpets is the best imaginable for carpet weaving, being highly resilient, tough and flexible. The whole process is completed by hand, from the washing of the wool in icy clear mountain streams, to the final clipping of the carpet, giving the wool its unique texture and appearance.
